Print: Celebrating the Seasons - July
In this series of twelve paintings, Laura invites you to stop and savour a moment. Every piece shows a distant view framed by exuberant flowers, food and drink, all chosen to evoke the unique flavours and feeling of each season. This series is about celebrating the gift of being alive; of being present and wholly absorbed in a place and time. Laura hopes these images inspire joy and that they offer an opportunity to be transported and revived.

July is full of colour and warmth and with this image Laura takes us to a balcony overlooking the Bosphorus in Istanbul where she spent many summers. Early summer fruits found in the market are on the table, and the vase is full of exuberant poppies, mallow, yellow flag, cranesbill, chicory, salvia, and fever few, which are a reminder of home in Scotland.
